Good news should encourage us to engage in the fight against the fossil fuel industry, not lull us into the delusion that we’ve already won."

We remember we are not limitless.

The EU agreed on a landmark nature and climate deal. The deal creates legally binding targets to protect and restore nature on a fifth of EU land and sea by 2030. The first law in 30 years that protects biodiversity, it aims to improve biodiverse habitats, reverse the decline of pollinating insects, and restore marine habitats such as seagrass. CNN

EPA is reducing harmful gasses. The rule supports a 40% phase-down of hydrofluorocarbons by 2028, and 85% in 2036. Also known as HFCs, these gasses are used in refrigeration and air conditioning and can be thousands of times more potent than CO2. The Hill

New study validates that rich countries caused greater climate harm.  It could be used in courtrooms and in international climate negotiations to support obligations to address loss and damages: payments from high emitting rich nations to poor countries damaged by the climate impacts. AP News
